This refurnished apartment on the mezzanine floor of a 1900's building has two spacious, air conditioned guest rooms each with a private bath with shower, TV and free Internet connection Wi-Fi.
- One of the rooms (Room B) has a loft in the room which provides a third sleeping accommodation, if needed.
- The other (Room C) has a double dividable bed.
The building is located on the Lungotevere (the Tiber River) in Testaccio, one of the oldest and most popular sections of Rome full of restaurants and pubs with an active night life. The building is directly across the bridge from the Trastevere section, another active historic area, and just below the Aventino Hill. Breakfast will be provided but you must prepare it yourself in the shared kitchen. The host lives on an upper floor and speaks fluent English and French. This general area boasts many interesting tourist attractions. The Global Village, located in the former slaughterhouses, presents displays of the cultures of various countries throughout the world and in the summer this large area is used for a Festival dell'Estate Romana, the Summer Roman Festival. Other sites of interest include the beautiful churches on the Aventino; the Parco degli Aranci, the Park of the Oranges; the gate to the Order of Malta from which, by peeking through the keyhole of the lock, you get a fascinating view of St. Peter's; the Pyramid of Cestius.
