This B&B is located in Trastevere, a historic and truly Roman district just across the Tiber from the historical center of Rome. It provides a double sleeping accommodation on a comfortable sofa bed. The guest room is very spacious, elegantly decorated with antiques, has an additional large sofa and is air conditioned. It has its own private bath (with a stall shower and hairdryer) in the hall. Breakfast is served in the dining room by the hostess, who speaks only Italian but will be happy to provide all the touristic information her guests may need. No smoking.
The Trastevere district with all its various restaurants, pubs and shops is a center of active Roman life. The historical center of Rome is within walking distance or just a 10 minute ride on the Number 8 Tram to Largo Argentina. From this point some of the most famous sites in Rome such as the Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, the Trevi Fountain and the Vatican are no more than a nice walk away. The local train from the airport stops at the Trastevere Station which is very near the apartment simplifying your arrival for a short break in Rome.
