This 50 sqm (550 sq ft) apartment is situated on the ground floor in an elegant 19th century building near the Vatican Museum. It sleeps up to 4 people and has recently been redecorated and refurnished. The unit consists of a spacious living room with a twin sofa bed, a dining corner with a fully furnished mini-kitchen with 2 ceramic top heating units, a sink, a refrigerator, a toaster oven, a kettle, a microwave oven, an iron and an iron board, a table and chairs and a child's high chair (on request). The bedroom has a double bed which can be separated into two twin beds. The bathroom is in the corridor and has a stall shower and a hairdryer. The unit has parquet floors and high ceilings. The windows look out on a private street minimizing any external traffic noise. The heating hot water system is self-controlling and provides plenty of hot water and the apartment is air conditioned. There is a free Wi-FI Internet connection if guests have their own computer. The owner speaks English and German and will graciously supply useful tourist information. This unit shares an entrance with apartment APT075 which sleeps 3 people so a larger party can be together and yet have their own units. No smoking, please.
From the apartment it is a short walk to the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica as well as the shopping area of via Cola di Rienzo. The Ottaviano station of Subway Line A is also within easy walking distance from the apartment and goes to Piazza del Popolo, Piazza di Spagna and to the Stazione Termini (main railroad station). By crossing either of the 2 bridges near the Vatican (the Amedeo di Savoia and the Vittorio Emanuele II) it is an pleasant 15-20 minute walk to the historical center of Rome including Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, Campo dei' Fiori and Piazza Venezia and the Coliseum. The entire area is also well connected with buses to all areas of town.
